Mr. Pham Phan Long is a Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in the States of California and Washington, USA. He received a Bachelor of Engineering degree with First Class Honors from the University of Auckland in 1976. He received the American Plant Engineers of the Year Award in 1985 and the San Diego Water Authority Water Conservation Award in 1986.
He founded Moraes/Pham & Associates, a consulting engineering firm in California in 1989. He founded MekongForum in 1999 and served as in the Editor of the Mekong Papers. He currently provides plant engineering supports for research laboratories, water and waste water management facilities.
Mr. Do is a registered professional engineer (P.Eng.) in BC, Canada, and is currently running his own company VanDo Consulting, specialized in water resources system analysis and software development. Mr. Do has been practicing as a consulting engineer in US and Canada for 25 years while holding various senior management positions with Powel Technology, Inc. and Charles Howard & Associates, Ltd., both in BC, Canada. Mr. Do has published a number of articles in engineering publications and science journals. Besides, he holds a membership in various professional associations, namely Canadian Water Resources Association, Canadian Society for Hydrological Sciences, American Society of Civil Engineers, American Water Resources Association, and American Geophysical Union. Mr. Do first received his BS in civil engineering from University of Hue, Vietnam in 1973 and later completed his M.A.Sc. in Water Resources/Civil Engineering from the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, BC, Canada.
Dr. Vu graduated from Hanoi Business University in 1990 with First Class Honors. He first received a Master degree in 2001 and later a Doctor of Philosophy degree in 2004 in Economics from Boston College, Massachusetts, USA. He is a founder of US Study Guide (http://www.us-guide.org/) and Vietnam's Economic Student Network. Dr. Vu is currently the director of research and a lecturer of economics and public policy at the Fulbright Economics Teaching Program, which is a partnership of the University of Economics, Ho Chi Minh City and the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. Dr. Vu has also been working with provincial governments around Vietnam as a governance and development expert.
Mr. Pham Hoang Anh is an attorney practicing in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. He received his Juris Doctor from Northeastern University School of Law in 2002. Prior to studying law, Mr. Pham worked as a financial analyst at BankBoston Financials, now Fleet Financials, and then as a partnership specialist at the U.S. Census Bureau. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Philosophy, cum laude, from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 1997.
Mr. Vu graduated from St. Louis University, USA, with a MBA degree. He currently works for the United Bank of Swiss as a financial analyst.
Dr. Pham received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Washington in 1998, and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Microbiology from the University of California at Davis in 2004, USA. His doctoral thesis was on the predatory soil bacterium Myxococcusxanthus. Dr. Pham has worked in public outreach and education programs at the Seattle Aquarium, and was a volunteer at the Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle, Washington, USA.
Mr. Tran received a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science from Huxley College of Environmental Studies/Western Washington University in 1995 and a Bachelor of Science in Civil/Environmental engineering from University of Connecticut, USA, in 1996. He is a co-founder of the Micro-Plating International, Inc. company in Oregon, USA, and currently holds a position as V.P. Engineering.
